E-Learning Specialist (Hybrid Eligible)


Job Summary

The E-Learning Specialist designs, coordinates, and implements comprehensive learning programs that align with RPI’s strategies and objectives, using the principles of adult learning and instructional design. The E-Learning Specialist facilitates conversations with content experts, builds learning resources and engages with a cross-functional team to engage in a continuous evaluation of the effectiveness and quality of those resources. Skill development programs include new hire through leadership. Additional duties include learning systems administration and project coordination duties in support of holistic learning experiences.

Leadership Development Manager

Come join the Leadership Development team to bring innovative training opportunities to our members. Seeking an experienced professional who can develop curriculum, design, and deliver training with excellent engagement experiences. This is a role for someone with a strong interest in public education and in engaging with our membership. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Develops, moderates, and delivers training and governance team retreats, workshops, podcasts or webinars, virtually and in-person.
  • Identifies member professional development needs regarding governance leadership, including the interpersonal relationships between school board members.
  • Research topical areas, designs curriculum, compiles resource materials and build presentations.
  • Advises and assists the department director and deputy director in program delivery and other educational priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching, delivering training and or developing curriculum.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in understanding group dynamics, team building, and group facilitation is helpful.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Excellent written, public speaking, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
  • The ability and flexibility to maintain a travel schedule in New York State (not including NYC) is needed, some nights and Saturday’s included, more frequent travel in the summer and early fall months. A work-home-homelife balance will be highly valued and attempts to accommodate family needs will be considered.
  • Salary range for position is $60,000-$80,000. Actual salary will be based on experience. Excellent health insurance and other benefits, including flexible Monday and 
    Friday work from home schedule. Position is full-time and available June 2024.
